Who we are

Launch Studio (ABN 91 519 610 147) is a brand and web design studio based in Melbourne, Victoria. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Launch Studio.

This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What we collect

We only collect what we need to talk to you about your project and to deliver it. That usually means:

• Your name, email address and phone number
• Your business name, website and social media links
• Details about your project that you choose to share with us, such as your goals, budget and timeline
• Files you send us, such as logos, photos and copy

When you visit our website, our hosting and analytics tools record basic, anonymous information, such as the pages you view, your browser type and roughly where you are. This doesn’t identify you personally.

We don’t ask for sensitive information, such as health information. Please don’t send us any.

How we collect it

We collect personal information directly from you when you email us, speak with us on a call, or become a client. If someone else refers you to us, they may pass on your name and contact details.

How we use it

• To reply to your enquiry and book calls
• To prepare quotes and deliver the work you hire us for
• To send invoices and keep business records
• To improve our website and services

We won’t add you to a mailing list unless you ask to join one, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

Who we share it with

We never sell or rent your personal information. We only share it with service providers who help us run the business, and only as much as they need. These include our email provider, our website host, our analytics tool and our accounting software.

Sometimes we bring in a trusted freelancer, such as a photographer or videographer, to help deliver your project. They only get what they need for the job, and they agree to keep it confidential.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

Storage, security and overseas providers

We store information in secure, password-protected cloud services. Some of these providers store data overseas, including in the United States. We take reasonable steps to make sure they protect your information to a standard similar to the Australian Privacy Principles.

Cookies

Our website uses only the cookies it needs to work, plus privacy-friendly analytics that don’t track you across other websites.

How long we keep it

We keep client records for as long as we need them for the project and to meet our tax and legal obligations, which is generally seven years. We delete enquiries that don’t become projects after two years.

Accessing or correcting your information

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it. Email hello@launchstudio.au and we’ll reply within 30 days.

Complaints

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, email hello@launchstudio.au and we’ll work with you to fix it. If you’re still not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated at the top.
